I would choose this template for a high school science teacher because it has nature in it. It also has a perfect navigation panel for a teaching website. This template would be excellent for an earth science teacher.

A Local Roofing Company

I would choose this template for a roofing company because it is not plain but not too exciting at the same time. It also has a spot for their logo, email, phone number and fax number.

An Accounting Firm That Specializes in Doing Taxes

I would choose this template for an accounting firm that specializes in taxes because it is a subtle blue, which looks very professional and business-like. It also has some papers in the top right corner that emphasize their specialty in taxes.

A Paintball Field
I would choose this template for a paintball field because it has a paint splatter which has everything to do with paintball. It also has very bright, lively colors that expresses the crazy fun of paintballing.

Flash is changing the world because you can make videos and games. Then web site designers use these flash products and use them on their page. These flash animations are used very frequently. You can find at least one form of flash per website.

Blog Assignment #5

The Pirates of Silicon Valley was a movie about the creation of Apple and Windows. It made Steve Jobs out to be a monster. It showed him being a mean person who only cared about himself and did not care about anyone else’s well being. Bill Gates was shown as a very nice person who didn’t want to hurt anyone. He was a very smart and sneaky and got things by not telling the whole truth. Bill Gates was also sort of a spaz and he worried a lot. My opinion of them changed a lot. I pictured them to be really smart people who got where they are by hard work. I knew they were incredibly smart but I didn’t think that they would backstab other people. I also didn’t know that they were normal people; I thought they would be like hermits that had no friends. After watching the movie I learned that Apple and Windows were not the only companies at the time. I also learned that they were really small at one time and only working out of a garage. Overall I thought it was a fairly interesting yet informative movie.

The above websites are examples of certain types of navigation. Eurosport and National Geographic are global while My Website and Web Design @ West Hills are hierarchical. Neither of them is better than the other but they have different purposes. Hierarchical is usually used for websites that have a lot of information. They are organized like a tree and you can get to any page from any page. Global is used in sites where there is information added everyday. It is better used if you are giving information in a few extensive catagories
